Sentro Rizal Children’s Stories for Overseas Filipinos

As part of the activities of the Inter-agency Committee for the Celebration of the Month of Overseas Filipinos (IAC-MOF), the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), launched Sentro Rizal Stories for Overseas Filipinos in December 2021.
Filipinos in diaspora were invited to watch the folk tales and literary classics with a modern take, adapted by the Philippine Education Theater Association (PETA). For a whole week, online viewers, young and old, were treated with the stories “Search: Adarna”; “Florante: @Laura”; “The Adventures of Pilandok”; and “The Mystery of Lola Lulu and the Moon-eating Monster”. These short films highlighted Filipino values: family and kapuwa; honesty & integrity and love for country; creative excellence and resilience; and purpose.

Online streaming of the episodes was launched from December 6 to 9, 2021 at 6 PM Philippine time via the NCCA Facebook Page, and continue to gain a positive feedback and substantial engagement from Filipinos all over the world.
