21 June 2022, Hanoi, Vietnam – The Philippine Embassy in Hanoi, Vietnam (Hanoi PE) in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) successfully inaugurated Sentro Rizal Hanoi. Led by Ambassador Meynardo LB Montealegre of Hanoi PE and Executive Director Oscar G. Casaysay of the NCCA, the event was marked by the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of the Center, followed by a cultural program.
Sentro Rizal (SR) is the Philippines’ cultural arm created for overseas Filipinos and for anyone who is interested in anything Filipino. The opening of Sentro Rizal assures that a platform is accessible for learning in order to deepen and enhance appreciation of Filipino culture, and nurture culturally-literate and participative communities of overseas Filipinos. SR Hanoi is the 9th center in Southeast Asia – one step closer towards the realization of the goal to further strengthen the Philippines’ cultural presence in the ASEAN region.
